2010 President's Message: In 2010 and Beyond, CREW in All You Do
By Julie V. Reiser, Attorney, Diepenbrock Harrison
What an honor to serve as the 2010 President of CREW Sacramento! In these challenging times, our "CREW Connections" have never been more important, and, as our new Chapter tagline reminds us, we are all here "Creating Relationships. Building Success."
Keeping that in mind, during the 2009/2010 Board Retreat, your trusted Chapter leaders made a commitment to:
• Foster a strong regional presence by serving as the leading business networking and development organization;
• Promote the advantages and assets of membership in our local chapter and in CREW Network, which now has close to 70 chapters and 9,000 members;
• Provide new and diversified networking opportunities, such as the Brown Bag Lunch Series, and increased visibility for our Members through quality programs and events; and
• Identify, cultivate and mentor the next generation of leaders in the commercial real estate industry.
We all need to think and act differently working to position ourselves for the economic recovery that will eventually come. That being said, I wanted to challenge you, in 2010 and beyond, to "CREW in all you do." What do I mean?
• When someone asks for a referral, be sure to think of your fellow CREW Members first.
• If your employer will allow it, proudly add that you are a Member of CREW Sacramento to your email or letter signature.
• Make sure you that you acknowledge that you are a CREW Member on your firm biography.
• When you attend personal and business events, talk up the value of being a CREW Member (and recruit new Members in the process!).
I look forward to guiding our Chapter through a process of change and transformation. Wishing you a spectacular and prosperous 2010! |
